Natalia Pérez Residential New Development Senior Consultant
It is a tranquil location within the city, despite being just moments from the heart of the capital. It is a beautiful area defined by palatial buildings, which until recently was not among the most sought-after at the high-end level. The scarcity of land in the Salamanca district has driven a shift towards other areas of Madrid, with Almagro and Trafalgar undoubtedly among them.
The presence of high-quality local retail and restaurants has a direct impact on high-end residential developments, creating a mutually reinforcing dynamic. The end client for these projects wants to dine well close to home, and having an excellent restaurant nearby is always a safe bet. The same applies to retail. Moreover, these projects are consistently located in prime areas, meaning that a strong restaurant or a luxury boutique will always perform well. Once a development is completed, the surrounding area is revitalised and consolidated.
