The historic spa town of Cheltenham is situated on the doorstep of the glorious Cotswolds, an area renowned for its natural beauty. The town is a wonderful place to live for both young and old, with excellent transport links to all points across the UK.

The Georgian architecture sets the scene in the town's centre, with open green squares, streets shaded by lines of mature tress and parks, which provide residents a beautiful place to work, live and play.

Beyond the centre, smaller suburbs offer larger, more modern housing options and access to the open countryside, which is close.

The amenities in the town are abundant. Numerous leisure facilities include the famous racecourse, a wide selection of wine bars, gastro pubs and Michelin-starred fine-dining.

Cheltenham has grown organically over the past 250 or so years, developing in charm and character. Today this makes it attractive to a whole cross section of homebuyers, whether they be from the local market, other prominent towns, London or abroad.

Everyday we see this variety of people seeking to buy here – be it for the architecture, the different lifestyles on offer, a safer environment to raise children, a better work life balance, or as a place to relax and retire to. We're happy we can cater to all needs, all requirements.

In the past 12 months we’ve helped people sell and buy a range of homes in the area, such as townhouses, apartments and country houses.

Our approach is powerful in that we pool the experience and expertise of all our Cheltenham team to help buyers find the right property and sellers find the right buyer, for the right price.

We also have 28 London offices, broadening our reach to cater to the ever-increasing number of London buyers, meaning you can reap the rewards of our genuinely encyclopedic local knowledge.

A vibrant retail, food and drink and entertainment scene sits on the doorsteps of those living in Cheltenham.

From the beautiful Regency throughfare of Cheltenham Promenade, to the 80 independent stalls and pitches of the Suffolks Sunday Market, those engaging in a little retail therapy will be easily charmed by the breadth and variety of the independent and boutique shopping options on offer in town. Meanwhile, more established retailers such as John Lewis, Urban Outfitters or Marks & Spencers are just off the main high street.

Eating and drinking options are plentiful, too, with the Michellin-starred Le Champignon Sauvage at the finer end of the spectrum, while The Coconut Tree's Sri Lankan fare offers some of the best ethnic cuisine in town. Sanford Park Alehouse is one for real ale fans, having won CAMRA's Real Ale Pub of the Year in previous years.

Who lives here?

The town is home to young and adolescent-aged families, many of whom say they work in the professional sectors, as well those who commute to London regularly for work.

The splendour of the open Cotswold countryside is there to be explored at the feet of the town.

Popular for days out among local people, Cheltenham's residents are right on the doorstep of The Cotswolds, which expands eastwards into Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire. Rolling hills, quaint properties made of local honey-coloured limestone known as Cotswold stone, and traditional drystone dot the landscapes of this beautiful area.

It's known to be picture-postcard perfect, but there is more to this region than initially meets the eye. It's a key reason why many urbanites also have country retreats in and around its prettiest towns and villages, including Cirencester, Burton-on-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold.

Educational institutions are excellent in Cheltenham, with a range of high-quality state, grammar and public schooling options, including Pate’s, Cheltenham College and Cheltenham Ladies.

Transport links by road to other major cities are easy to access, via the M5 (J11a) or the A417 at Swindon, to the M4. By train, London can be reached in two hours via Paddington, while by plane Bristol, Heathrow, Staverton on the edge of town (for small aircraft) are close by.

Aside from being well-connected to the rest of the UK, schooling – both state and private – is some of the best in region.
