South East

With London proudly positioned as its central powerhouse, the South East is a well-connected hub. It’s no surprise the area is popular amongst both domestic and international buyers

REGIONAL INSIGHT

Oliver Rodbourne

Head of South East sales

It’s been another extraordinary year in the South East prime market. Following 2020, the ‘race for space’ continues and the desire to ‘get back to nature’ has seen buyer numbers continue to outstrip supply – so much so, that stock levels are the lowest we’ve seen for at least 15 years. Londoners continue their usual trend of moving away from the capital for improved quality of life, schooling, recreation and lifestyle. With the environment firmly on the agenda, many buyers are now looking for properties with rewilding opportunities or the means to grow their own produce. Properties with views (especially those over water) and privacy continue to demand premiums, and this looks to be the case for the foreseeable future.
